Frequently asked

The questions people actually ask

Does it hurt, how long does it last, who is it not suitable for. Honest answers, including where they are inconvenient.

The treatment

Does it hurt?
Noticeable, but bearable. Numbing cream works before and during. Most describe it as scratching; lips are more intense than brows. We take breaks if you want them.
Will it look artificial?
Not if the colour and shape suit you. I work in powder and shading rather than hard lines, and the colour is matched to your undertone. Mapping continues until you agree.

Suitability and longevity

How long does permanent makeup last?
One to three years, depending on skin, sun, care and metabolism. Oily skin breaks pigment down faster, so does a lot of sun. It does not vanish suddenly — it fades slowly.
Who is it not suitable for?
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, on blood thinners, with unmanaged diabetes, a tendency to keloids, acute skin conditions in the area, recent chemotherapy, or under 18. If in doubt, ask first — an honest no beats a repair afterwards.
Can old permanent makeup be reworked?
Sometimes. It depends how dark, how deep and what shade the old pigment is. Send me a daylight photo first and I will tell you honestly whether it works or whether removal has to come first.

Price, travel and cancellation

What does the touch-up cost?
Nothing. The touch-up four to six weeks later is included in the price of the first treatment. Only a refresh after one to two years is charged again.
What does a refresh cost?
From €149. After one to two years the pigment has faded, and how much work a refresh takes depends on how much is left. This is separate from the follow-up four to six weeks after treatment, which is included in the price of the first appointment.
Is there a travel charge on top of the treatment?
Not up to 60 minutes' drive. From 60 minutes it is €29, from 90 minutes €49. The amount appears in your booking request before you send it — there is no surprise on the day.
Do you really come to my home?
Yes, that is the whole point. I bring the couch, the lighting and everything sterile. You need a table, a socket and quiet. Which areas I am in on which days shows up from your postcode when you request an appointment.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Free up to 48 hours beforehand, an email is enough. After that, or if nobody is there when I arrive, 50% of the treatment price is charged. The appointment runs for several hours and involves a drive — at short notice it cannot be filled again.
